Despite the obvious drama of those early steps, both Diana and her market areas are even more remarkable today. Basehor is one of the five fastest growing cities in Kansas. Not even incorporated until 1969, Basehor has effectively balanced some of the area's most dynamic growth with a quiet "country" lifestyle - features that both Diana and her home buyers readily appreciate."It's an outstanding area," she said. Not surprisingly, one of Diana's most successful areas today involves her work and the work of the Diana Bryan-Smith team that successfully markets subdivisions in and around Basehor, and in the nearby Wyandotte County communities of Piper and Bonner Springs. Illustrating her flexibility and management skill, Diana is also involved in a venture that, among other things, markets a unique townhome development in Junction City, KS, home of Fort Riley military base.
Equally diverse are the details of these quality communities. Located in Leavenworth County, one of the most developed communities is Prairie Lake Estates, where homes begin in the upper $200,000s and is already in its third phase of construction.
Not far away, Hidden Ridge in Basehor features 300 homes starting in the low $200,000s, all boasting a quiet seclusion that features mature trees, a stone and brick bridge over a winding creek, and a sense of seclusion despite a convenient nearness to the many amenities of Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties.
One of the most unusual developments is found in the Pines of Pinehurst neighborhood.
